Famously described as “a special refuge from the strains of modern living,” the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman are one of the most significant designs of the 20th century. Unparalleled craftsmanship and rigorous attention to detail made it a fixture in homes worldwide.
Like all classics, the chair and ottoman get better with age, in part because of how they are made. From the innovative hardware that fastens the cushions to the shell without marring the appearance of the wood to the fact that each piece continues to be assembled by hand, the combination of craft and manufacturing consistency results in genuinely authentic pieces.

Prone Leather (Category 11)
Grade: Full Grain / Finish: Semi-Aniline / Thickness: 1.1–1.3mm / Origin: ItalyProne is a premium full-grain leather from Maharam, produced in a boutique tannery in Northern Italy. Prone is minimally finished to highlight the natural beauty of leather and the inherent quality of superior raw materials. The texture of the grain offers a supple hand, while a light silicone finish lends protection against wear. Prone is GREENGUARD Gold Certified.

Stow Leather (Category R)
Grade: Full Grain / Finish: Semi-Aniline / Thickness: 1.0–1.2mm / Origin: ItalyStow is a premium full-grain leather from Maharam, produced in a boutique tannery in Northern Italy. To achieve its rich depth, Stow’s small pebbled grain is “tipped” – a process by which darker dyes are added to the surface. A protective silicone topcoat lends added resilience and helps guard against staining. Stow is GREENGUARD Gold Certified.

Leather Maintenance:
Dust or vacuum regularly. Do not spot clean; clean the entire surface. Wipe clean with a damp cloth, and dry with a clean, soft cloth. For spots and spills, wipe clean with a damp cloth using a lather of mild soap and lukewarm water. For grease stains, wipe clean with a dry cloth and let the remainder of the oil dissipate into the leather – do not use water on grease. Do not use saddle soap, solvents, oils, or other cleaners on leather.
