A lattice of hand-strung parachute cords gives the Crosshatch Settee couch its airy silhouette. Tightly wrapped around the frame, the cords create structural tension, which supports supple cushions. The result is a modern two-seater sofa that feels like a protective nest.
Utilizing industrial materials in a handcrafted way, the Crosshatch Settee (2017) merges simplicity and functionality. Design studio Eoos settled on parachute cord for the piece's open latticework, choosing the material due to its stiffness and resistance to stretching over time. At home everywhere from executive offices to suburban living rooms, it is available with a choice of textiles, cord colours, and natural woods. The Crosshatch Settee 2-seater couch is part of the Crosshatch Collection.
