Herman Miller Eames® Table Outdoor - Round Stone Top with Contract Base, 28.5" high
The “contract base” is the original base of the tables that Charles and Ray Eames designed as outdoor furniture for the home of industrialist and architecture enthusiast J. Irwin Miller in Columbus, Indiana. Eero Saarinen designed the building, Alexander Girard masterminded the interiors, and Dan Kiley handled the landscape architecture. Girard turned to his friends Charles and Ray Eames —and asked the Eameses to create the outdoor tables and chairs. The tables were subsequently manufactured by Herman Miller as part of the Eames Aluminum Group.
We have re-engineered the Eames Tables Contract Base Outdoor to stand up to the weather by replacing parts not suitable for outdoor use, adding durable powder coatings to the base, and offering stone tops that can stand the rain.
