When George Nelson decided to use separate pieces for the seat and back of this chair, he created a design that lets the chair flex as the sitter moves. A slit between the seat and back helps prevent heat build-up. Wide, flat arms provide a comfortable resting place for your arms.
The look is light-scaled, sculpted, and delicate, but the base is strong—16-gauge steel--and the recyclable polypropylene shell stands up to long-term use.
