Knoll

Knoll is one of the most historically important names in modern furniture, founded in 1938 and responsible for putting Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Florence Knoll, and Marcel Breuer's designs into permanent production. Pieces like the Barcelona Chair, the Saarinen Tulip and Womb collections, Bertoia's wire seating, and Florence Knoll's case goods sit in MoMA's permanent collection and are still manufactured today exactly as originally engineered — the same materials, the same construction, no shortcuts. That distinction matters enormously with a brand this iconic, because Knoll reproductions and "Knoll-style" pieces are everywhere online, and quality, proportion, and material honesty vary wildly between an authentic Knoll piece and a copy.

Alteriors is an authorized Knoll dealer in Canada, which means every Barcelona Chair, Saarinen table, or Bertoia chair we sell is genuine Knoll manufacturing, backed by Knoll's warranty, not a licensed knockoff. Our Knoll assortment spans living room seating, dining tables and chairs, and outdoor furniture, giving Canadian homeowners, architects, and interior designers a single trusted source for authentic Knoll furniture Canada-wide, whether you're specifying a full commercial lobby or adding one Saarinen side table to a condo.

Because most Knoll pieces are made to order in your selected finish, fabric, or marble top, our team confirms configuration and current lead times before you order — and select Knoll pieces are available to see and sit in at our Ottawa showroom. If you're comparing an authentic Knoll piece to a cheaper alternative, ask us: we can walk you through exactly what the authenticity, materials, and manufacturer warranty are actually buying you.
