Warren Platner

Warren Platner Collection

Warren Platner designed Knoll's Platner Collection in 1966 using a distinctive construction of curved steel wire welded into a circular pattern — a labor-intensive technique that produces a visually delicate, almost lace-like structure while remaining structurally substantial, used across side tables, coffee tables, and lounge seating.

Alteriors is an authorized Knoll dealer, carrying authentic Platner-designed furniture for Canadian homes and design projects. The wire construction technique is genuinely difficult to reproduce accurately, and authentic Knoll manufacturing uses precisely welded steel that reproduction pieces commonly fall short of in both structural integrity and visual refinement.

Our team can help confirm current availability, top material, and finish options. Select Platner furniture is on display in our Ottawa showroom, worth seeing in person to appreciate the wire construction's visual effect, which is difficult to fully capture in photos. We ship authentic Warren Platner designs across Canada.
