Nanimarquina

Nanimarquina

Nanimarquina is a Barcelona rug house founded by Nani Marquina in 1987, built on a simple premise: rugs made by hand, using traditional techniques, but designed with a genuinely contemporary eye rather than treating "handmade" as a stylistic throwback. Collections like Tres (with Elisa Padrón), Flora and Haze (with Begüm Cana Özgür and Santi Moix), and Shade are hand-knotted, hand-tufted, or hand-felted from natural wool by skilled artisans, and many are made to order in your chosen size and colorway.

Alteriors carries Nanimarquina's core collections for Canadian living and dining rooms, and for outdoor spaces where select felted and technical collections are designed to perform. As an authorized dealer, every rug we sell is a genuine Nanimarquina piece, not a machine-made lookalike — the hand-construction is the entire point, and it's visible and tactile in a way mass-produced rugs aren't.

If you're furnishing a room around a rug rather than treating it as an afterthought, Nanimarquina's collections are designed to be a focal point: bold pattern, considered color, and construction quality that holds up to real foot traffic. Our team can help with size selection for your specific room dimensions and confirm production timelines, since made-to-order pieces take longer than in-stock inventory. We ship Nanimarquina rugs across Canada, with select pieces viewable in our Ottawa showroom.
