Bocci 21.19 Cluster Nineteen Pendant Light

21.19 is a clustered configuration of nineteen 21 pendants hung from a round canopy. The drop lengths of the pendants are randomized within a client specified range of heights to compositionally clump together in some instances, and trail off in others. In this chandelier the pendants are designed to contact each other, evoking more complex forms

The 21 is fabricated from thin sheets of porcelain wrapped around frosted borosilicate glass trumpet-shaped diffusers. Each diffuser houses a low voltage (12V, 20W xenon or LED) lamp. A strong contrast is established between the organically distributed soft light passing through the translucent white porcelain skin and the sharp, crisp light passing through the borosilicate glass diffuser.
